1. Updates:

• Array printing update
  • computer died this weekend.  New (old) one is coming today or tomorrow.  Perkin-Elmer sending tech to set it up and load driver but they will not help re-calibrate tips if that needed.  Very disappointed with service they have provided for the price we've paid. 
  • We are out of BAC arrays; these are first priority for Roman.  There is also much work to recalibrate machine and re-create puck maps.

• Cheri headed to McLane on Sunday for the week.
  • She will take 2 SH1, 1 LAF, 1WCR pucks and filters/supports.  Roman will help get those together.

• NEO deployment next week
  • (correct) reagents loading today.
  • ball screw has been replaced.
  • will hot-swap CTD on ship, so older CTD with current working driver will be in use.  Bob Herlien can write new driver, but not until August.
  • Pressure sign inversion still to be fixed.  Email sent to Scott to band-aid by placing different resistor on sensor board.
  • discussion about how ISUS is powered.  Currently runs once every 20 minutes and thus 1 battery will take it 6 months.  If sampling more frequently, we must upload more often and batteries discharge and memory fills.  Must talk to Brent if sampling frequency to be increased.

• Check-out/fix broken PCR modules
  • We will assemble data on the malfunctioning of each module and submit to John D @ LLNL and ask for help.  This will occur after the flip.

• Bruce/Mack
  • Mack had an extra puck in one tube, due to the machine being stopped when the hand was gripping over the carousel.  We were lucky it fell into tube 5 so it could continue a HAB run from tube 4.
  • Bruce to be opened tomorrow. 
  • We will appeal to Support Engineering to help in mooring cleaning and preparation.

• John R. Paper progress
  • John has sifted through contextual data and skimmed the nuggets of interpretability.  Seems like a very nice story is emerging.  He will send figures and outline draft of paper this week.

• Chris P. paper progress
  • Chris continues writing and gave review of the figures she's settled on.
  • still looking at submission to PNAS or Applied Env. Micro.

• Methane Mound Cruise
  • Much discussion on the timeline of the cruise and when things needed to be done.  Chris P. had valuable input into when she could assist.  The schedule still is somewhat flexible.
